BLEXIT FAQ Page

Q1: What is BLEXIT’s mission statement?

BLEXIT’s mission is to flip the script surrounding minority communities, particularly Black Americans, by creating a world where Black Americans see themselves as the arbiters of their own destiny. We aim to achieve this goal through the following:

  • Advocating for school choice and alternative educational opportunities for low-income and minority children.

  • Supporting and strengthening the nuclear family by providing resources and programs that promote family unity and resilience.

  • Championing entrepreneurship and free enterprise as keys to escaping government dependence and poverty.

  • Influencing culture by mobilizing individuals across America to spark conversations rooted in personal responsibility and the ability to achieve the American dream.

BLEXIT also values free markets, economic independence, religious freedom, and patriotism. In short—Faith, Family, and Freedom.

Q2: Is BLEXIT its own independent organization?

No. BLEXIT is powered by Turning Point USA (TPUSA), which serves as its parent organization. Through TPUSA, BLEXIT operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Q3: Can BLEXIT sponsor political organizations by tabling?

No. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, BLEXIT cannot provide financial support to 501(c)(4) or other political organizations. However, you can represent BLEXIT at a political event in an individual capacity, as long as you are clear that you are attending as an individual and not on behalf of BLEXIT as an organization.

Q4: Does BLEXIT vet its volunteer leaders?

No. BLEXIT operates on a volunteer-based model, meaning we welcome as many hands-on deck as possible. Some volunteers contribute 10%, others give more—but every effort matters. State Directors, Regional Managers, and Team Leads have the authority to reorganize teams or remove individuals if they are not a good fit for BLEXIT and its mission.

Q5: Why doesn’t BLEXIT vet volunteer leaders?

BLEXIT previously attempted to vet volunteer leaders, but it proved unsuccessful and detrimental to our volunteer-based model.

Instead of vetting, we trust our leadership teams to make the best decisions when organizing or removing leaders.

Additionally, BLEXIT’s entire programmatic side was founded by three previously unvetted volunteers—Pierre Wilson, Lisa Matthews, and Valerie White-Johnson—who built BLEXIT’s foundation purely out of love for the mission.

Q6: What is the difference between Campus/Grassroots Warriors and BLEXIT Leaders?

Campus/Grassroots Warriors are essentially BLEXIT members. They:

  • Have access to BLEXIT resources and stay updated on BLEXIT efforts.

  • Support and execute the vision set by BLEXIT leaders.

BLEXIT Leaders, on the other hand:

  • Set the direction of their chapter or student club.

  • Coordinate events, outreach, and engagement strategies.

Q7: How can we contact BLEXIT Grassroots & Campus Warriors for our local events?

To request Grassroots or Campus Warriors for an event, please follow the BLEXIT Communication Request Process Found HERE.

Q8: Once I join BLEXIT, how long will it take for me to be trained?

A trainer from the BLEXIT Leadership Academy will reach out within 24-48 hours to schedule a training date with you.

Q9: What is the BLEXIT Student Movement (BSM)?

BSM is BLEXIT’s HBCU initiative overseen by the Strategic Manager – Student Movement. The team’s mission is to bring conservative values and principles to HBCU campuses nationwide.

BSM Warriors:

  • Host voter registration drives and student-led campus events.

  • Encourage free thinking and policy discussions among students.

  • Help students get involved in the fight for a stronger America.

Q10: What are BLEXIT Chapters?

BLEXIT Chapters are the largest initiative within BLEXIT, focused on engaging and educating local communities.

Unlike traditional conservative organizations, BLEXIT prioritizes hands-on engagement. For example:

  • A BLEXIT Chapter might organize a clothing drive—not just to distribute clothing but to connect with individuals who may not typically attend a conservative event.

  • The goal is to educate and uplift, not just provide handouts.

  • We believe in offering a hand-up, not a handout.

BLEXIT Chapters are overseen by the Lead Strategic Manager – Grassroots.

Q11: What is BLEXIT Education?

BLEXIT Education consists of two main components:

  1. BLEXIT Leadership Academy (BLA) – Focused on internal leadership training, including:

    • New leader onboarding

    • Self-paced EdApp trainings

    • Handbook/code of conduct training

Q16: How do I explain BLEXIT’s connection to Turning Point USA?

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is one of the most impactful conservative organizations of its time.

  • TPUSA has the largest student-focused department in the conservative movement.

  • In the last election, the youth vote shifted by over 30 points due to TPUSA’s efforts.

BLEXIT operates as a department under TPUSA, carrying out its original mission of educating and empowering minority communities. TPUSA’s resources have amplified BLEXIT’s ability to expand its reach and impact.

Q17: Is BLEXIT just about leaving the Democratic Party?

No. BLEXIT is not just about political party affiliation—it is the Black and Hispanic exit from the victimhood mentality.

While leaving the left may be a part of that for some individuals, BLEXIT is much bigger than politics. It is about:

  • Empowering people to think independently rather than following political narratives.

  • Encouraging personal responsibility and self-sufficiency.

  • Breaking free from government dependence and building strong communities.

BLEXIT is a cultural and ideological shift, not just a political one.

Q18: How many Grassroots & Campus Warriors does BLEXIT have?

BLEXIT has over 40,000 signed-up Warriors across BLEXIT Chapters and the BLEXIT Student Movement.

Q19: Does BLEXIT have a website?

Yes and no.

  • National events, Student Movement events, and training sessions are listed on the BLEXIT website.
