Speaker Request Guidelines for BLEXIT Leaders

Step One: Submit the Grant Request Form to secure funding for your event.

Step Two: Complete the Speaker Request Form HERE at least six weeks before the event date. This timeline ensures adequate preparation for your Activism Day.

Step Three: Await approval or denial from a staff member. Note that turnaround times may vary depending on the availability and response time of the requested speaker.

Step Four:

  • If Approved: TPUSA staff will coordinate all travel arrangements for the speaker, including flights, hotel, transportation, and other approved logistics.

  • If Denied: You can either request an alternative speaker or arrange for a local speaker to attend your event.

Important Information for Requesting a Speaker

Honorariums

  • TPUSA does not always cover honorariums, either partially or fully. The decision is at the discretion of TPUSA.

  • We highly recommend seeking additional funding from other organizations to cover potential honorarium costs, which can range from $1,000 to $50,000+, depending on the speaker.

Travel Arrangements

  • Once your speaker is approved and any honorarium details are finalized, TPUSA will cover the speaker's travel expenses, including flights, hotel accommodations, Uber rides, and approved food-related costs (if applicable).

Event Expectations

  • TPUSA maintains a standard of professionalism and first-class treatment for our speakers and partners. It is expected that speakers will be treated with respect at all events.

  • Representation: Remember that when a speaker attends your event, you are representing TPUSA and its values.

  • Point of Contact: Assign a designated contact person to communicate with the speaker. This ensures streamlined and consistent communication before, during, and after the event.

  • If you have questions or need assistance related to your speaker request, please reach out to your manager, director, or team lead for guidance.
